Stool Testing

The GI-MAP is a stool test that measures for a variety of gastrointestinal microbiota DNA using quantitative PCR technology. It also tests for indicators of digestion, absorption, inflammation, and immune function. The GI Map is my favorite functional lab test for individuals struggling with their gut health. The trial-and-error method can be a long, expensive journey. Stop guessing and start testing so you can get answers!
Stool testing is for those who:
- feel like they've tried everything to fix their gut
- are struggling with stubborn symptoms: bloating, gas, constipation, diarrhea, burning, reflux, burping, cramping, or pain with eating
- were given the BS diagnosis of "IBS"
- are frustrated with the band-aid solutions and lack of testing from conventional docs
- are dealing with low energy, brain fog, skin issues, autoimmune disease, and hormonal imbalances
- want to address their gut symptoms without elimination diets (goodbye low FODMAP!)
- just want to improve their overall health!
Many clients come to me with the same common concerns: bloating, inflammation, and irregular bowel movements, but while the symptoms may look alike, the underlying causes are often different. You and I could share the exact same symptoms yet have entirely different root causes. That's why it can feel so frustrating when "eating healthy" or trying random supplements doesn't seem to help. Without knowing your root cause, you won't know what your body needs. You need a plan designed for YOU.

What We're Looking For:

The GI Map hits three main buckets of data: your microbiome, how well you digest and break down food, and various markers of inflammation. More specifically, it tests for:
- pathogens (bacteria, parasites, viruses)
- h. pylori
- balance of "good" and "bad" bacteria
- yeast (candida) overgrowth
- liver, pancreas, and gallbladder function
- intestinal permeability or "leaky gut"
- gut inflammation markers
- gut immune system
- gluten sensitivity
